A golden laser-carved image of Buddha on a 130-metre cliff — one of the most recognisable sights in Chonburi province, and the easiest way there is by scooter: parking right at the base, no ferries or queues.
Route and Road
Head south on Sukhumvit Road, and after about 20 minutes turn onto Route 331 towards Chi Chan — English signage marks every junction. The road is smooth, with one petrol station along the way. It's worth a five-minute detour to Wat Yan Sangwararam and its giant stupa, almost on the way.
Surface: paved, city roads + Route 331.
What to See
- Golden Buddha image on a 130m cliff
- Free entry and parking
- Wat Yan Sangwararam temple on the way
Tip from FirstMileBest visited early, before 9am: the cliff glows gold in the morning sun and the tour buses haven't arrived yet. Entry and parking are free, no need to remove your shoes.
